Gosh more excitement.  I got tickets for the house of commons. I had a brilliant day, interesting and fun.

Scotland as beautiful as ever

The commonwealth games have started. I've really enjoyed the swimming, the gymnastics and the triathlon. I'm so pleased to have got some tickets for next week. Can't wait.

Horary more holiday. A trip out at Southwell Workhouse. Very odd remember visiting when it was Part 3 accommodation, used by Social Services. The history and story was well done and brought to life. Such harsh conditions. Unfortunately there are  some themes currently rolled out by certain sections of the newspapers. Very depressing particularly when one volunteer commented that we might learn something from making sure we ensured people worked rather than being given money for doing nothing. I managed a comment without creating a argument.
Plan to drive to Yeovil tomorrow.

Well trip to Somerset exhausting a nearly 4 year olds sport day, followed by early starts to cries of lets play!!   Saw some  splendid thunderstorms and lightening.

On my travels once more, house sitting. Can you believe it me in charge of 2 dogs, 4 chickens, fortunately not the 2 horses. A trip to Rawtenstall to visit this bar.

Stonehenge

Rather stating the obvious. A windy day but some blue skies.. The day before we visited Avebury. I forget to take this wonderful tablet so have no photos. I first saw Avebury years ago on a prison visit and needed to stop for a cup of tea. The change and comercialisim has altered the feel of the place.
